About the Job



Reputable Norcross-based commercial General Contractor seeks to hire an Estimator/Project Manager with 2+ years commercial construction experience to include interior build-out and remodel for retail stores and restaurants. We need someone who can grow with the Company, so you must be energetic and highly-motivated with a 'can do' attitude!  All work is done in the Atlanta and surrounding areas...no travel and home every night.  







QUALIFIED CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS...



ESTIMATING SKILLS/ABILITIES...



Solicit subcontractors / vendors to  bid on proposed projects.

Maintain GradeBeam site for bidding projects, active projects and subcontractor database.

Perform quantity take-offs and develop labor and material costs using historical data as well as current pricing derived from active solicitation.

Assist in creating or developing bid proposals for projects complete with qualifications.

Assisting in scoping bids to ensure proper coverage of scope.

Attend pre-bid and walk-thru meetings (must have own transportation).

Develop scopes of work for sub-contractors based on contractual documents.

Provide accurate construction takeoff and cost estimates.

Assist in management of bid proposal documentation and submission.

Must be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Detailed and accurate in all aspects of the position.

Accountable for all aspects of developing construction scope and complete and accurate cost of work.

Ability to do conceptual estimates from concept plans and informal narratives.

Promote a team environment that facilities creativity, innovation, continuous improvement and value engineering.





PROJECT MANAGEMENT...



Define the project scope, alternates selected, VE items, goals and deliverables for successful project.

Define project tasks and resource requirements.

Negotiate and buyout subcontracts and purchase orders.

Develop complete scope of work for subcontractors and purchase orders.

Manage project budget.

Track and coordinate all project deliverables to ensure timely delivery.

Track and coordinate approval for all submittals, shop drawings and finish samples.

Price and manage any changes to the scope of work with client and subcontractors/vendors.

Coordinate with the design team on any design build projects.

Provide direction and support to project team.

Present reports for project progress, problems and solutions.

Any experience with UDA Construction Suite, PlanSwift and GradeBeam most helpful.



Company offers a salary in the $60,000 - $80,000 range plus $400 monthly auto allowance and benefits.
