Want to spend your winters in sunny south Florida?  My client is seeking to hire a VP of Sales & Marketing experienced in the firearm industry responsible for all aspects of marketing and branding of the company and products.  Sorry but candidates without "firearm industry" experience will NOT be considered.  You will oversee new customer/sales development, customer relationship management, analyzing the competitive environment, forecasting sales, managing distributors and managing the Sales Team, Customer Service and Marketing.  You will also work closely with the production team to achieve customer fulfillment by balancing inventory, production and sales helping develop new products and packaging, analyzing quality characteristics and complaints.  Additionally, you will provide leadership, drive sales, act as a coach, mentor and facilitator.  You will also possess widespread knowledge of competitors, technical issues, strategic planning, market development, branding and business planning.  This position reports directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities...

Establish sales programs, pricing, distribution structure and commissions.
Develop Business Plans and Sales Strategy for assigned markets ensuring that company sales goals and profitability are reached.
Identification, origination, conversion of new accounts.
Manage and supervise existing accounts.
Develop strategies, new product positioning, forecasting and reporting.
Work with production resolving customer complaints regarding sales, service and product functionality.
Lead the development of the company brand strategy.  Lead the marketing team ensuring consistency and effectiveness of company-wide compliance with branding initiatives.
Work with the CEO and CFO to establish contracts and pricing for major accounts.
Develop appropriate performance objectives for all team members, coach team members and direct day-to-day activities of the team.
Prepare major customer development action plans, as well as, plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets.  Direct the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
Establish and maintain customer, industry and colleague relationships by developing and constructive, cooperative and fun working relationships with others.
Interface with industry groups to take advantage of opportunities for new market development, product studies, product promotion and public outreach.
Provide timely feedback to the executive team regarding performance.
Maintain accurate records within CRM program of all interactions, pricing, sales, etc.
Prepare and present proposals and presentations.
Control department expenses to meet budget guidelines.
Maintain close communication within industry to stay abreast of competitive activity, pricing and market trends and uses that to own the market and price forecasting process, inform strategic product and customer choices and provide guidance and information on industry trends and developments to the executive team.
Direct activities to represent the company and promote products at conferences and trade shows.

10+ years experience in the firearm industry
