Firearm Manufacturer/Assembler in the South Florida area seeks to hire a Production Manager for their local facility.  Production background in a manufacturing-type environment required and any experience within the firearms industry a real plus.

Duties...

Manage human and material resources to meet production targets and goals.
Plan and control the production schedule, reviewing and adjusting as needed.
Involved in personnel related functions for manufacturing, including hiring, training, performance evaluations and development plans.
Develop and implement programs for standardization of processes, cost reduction, quality, and continuous improvement in collaboration with the management team.
Determine the human resources/manpower required.
Determine the material resources required. 
Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective manufacturing and growth strategies.
Oversee reporting of performance metrics such as daily production, inventories, shop flow control, defects, and scrap as well as provide solutions for improvement based on data delivered.
Participates in corrective action plans and engage in the continuous improvement process.
Develop, mentor and coach all direct staff.  Help grow organizational capacity and groom/mentor future leaders for the company.
Provide timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the product line.
Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement.
Design and implement standard operating procedures for production operations.
Ensure that standard operating procedures are adhered to.
Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures.
Continually investigates and introduces process improvement measures and presents suggestions to the leadership team for consideration.
Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives.
Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems.
Determine and implement improvements to the production process.
Prepare and maintain production reports.
Estimate production costs and implement cost control programs.
Assist the VP of Operations in setting and managing production budgets.
Perform other job-related duties as needed.
