Reputable commercial/industrial General Contractor seeks to hire an experienced Industrial Construction Superintendent. Experience in industrial tilt wall construction to include warehousing, distribution, manufacturing and other industrial-type facilities/buildings. You will be responsible for the supervision and management of all aspects of assigned projects from mobilization through punch list and demobilization, including client relations and cost control of general conditions. Other duties include, but not limited to:



Ensuring that all construction work performed is of the highest quality

Assisting Project Managers in formulating construction schedule and maintaining construction schedule throughout the project from start to finish

Supervising employees, subcontractors and vendors to ensure both quality control and project compliance

Recommending employee hiring, promotion, discipline, and termination

Verifying and approving employee timecards

Scheduling and directing all inspections with city officials, government agencies and private agencies as required

Scheduling all trades and material deliveries daily

Resolving issues as they arise regarding plans or specifications, conflicts with the architect, engineer, clients and subcontractors and documentation of all corrections, changes and requests

Assisting Project Manager with bidding, subcontract scope of work, pricing of owner and subcontractor change orders and verification of costs

Attending regularly scheduled safety training and procedure meetings

Maintaining and posting OSHA and Company required safety literature

Documenting and completing all punch list items in a timely manner

Attending job start-up and close-out meetings

Assisting OSHA inspectors as per OSHA inspection policy



Job Requirements:

Ideal candidate will be supportive in a team environment; think big picture and take into account long term implications while constantly analyzing ways to improve performance and product

Possess a minimum of 10 years experience in the Industrial construction industry in a lead supervisory role

Proficient in understanding and developing project schedules

Working knowledge of all crafts (ability to read and understand specifications for all trades)

OSHA 30-hour certification

Intermediate level in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Intermediate level in Microsoft Project or Primavera

Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize work assignments

Extreme attention to detail

Professional image coupled with excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to work outside year round in all types of weather conditions

Ability to travel throughout all areas of construction sites during all phases of a project

Hearing and visual capabilities to safely handle the hazards encountered in the work environment

Ability to lift heavy objects as encountered in the work environment

Motor vehicle driving record that is consistent with Company and insurance carrier standards and policies

Uses cellular and electronic mail communication tools effectively so as to continuously remain within communication range of other company managers; familiar with operating an iPad

Leadership and motivational skills

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management from 4-year college or university is preferred but not required

Travel required



Company offers a salary in the $80,000 - $90,000 range (perhaps a bit more if your experience warrants) plus an attractive benefits package to include medical, dental, flexible spending account, 401(k) and much more!
