Well established commercial real estate company located near Clairmont Rd & I-85 area seeks to hire an experienced Commercial Property Accountant to handle the accounting functions for a commercial/industrial portfolio.

Specific Duties
• Manage and reconcile monthly expenses, financials and true-up for corporate books, and multiple commercial portfolios.
• Prepare timely and accurate month-end financial statement packages, including reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts, posting of monthly journal entries, and investigating and resolving irregularities determined while preparing account analyses
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts at each property and book JEs as needed
• Process commercial Accounts Receivable functions, including posting rent, fees and payments to the tenant ledgers
• Review the general ledger and check AR and AP for accuracy
• CAM setup, billing, recovery and reconciliation process, making necessary tenant adjustments
• Annual operating budgets and forecasting
• Prepare, file and pay sales tax returns
• Maintain tenant ledgers
• Process tenant move-outs, including write-off of uncollectible accounts, and interim CAM reconciliations
• Ensure that property and lease files are properly maintained and kept up to date in accordance with company policy. Prepare and maintain appropriate tenant lease files, records, correspondence and file notes.
• Setup and transition of properties which include loading beginning balance information, sale pro-ration calculations, and closing entries
• Assist with administering tenant occupancy including providing the new tenant with an introduction letter regarding emergency contacts, insurance requirements, rent collection procedures, and maintenance request procedures.
• Coordinate entry of all property information into the software program and establish reporting protocols for maintenance requests, preventative maintenance, vendor and tenant Certificates of Insurance and key lease date tracking.
• Assist with the implementation of Yardi software at corporate and onsite.


General Duties
• Prepare, memos, faxes, email, maintain files, prepare expense reports and other administrative forms, copying, and arrange for courier service and overnight deliveries.
• Maintain office clerical, filing and record keeping systems.
• Handle client audit requests as needed and provide support for accounting or property related inquiries.
• Assist with tracking and maintaining certificate of insurance for both tenants and vendors
• Assist Property Manager and respond to tenant issues, correspond with client requests and generally support all responsibilities of the property management department
