Community Manager / Event Planner

Feeling of belonging. We all know when we feel it – when we feel connected to and a vital part of a larger community. And yet, everyone wants to feel it. That’s where your skills and talents will come into play, where you can make an impact.

A Community Manager emulates the values and experiences that create connections between people fostering and strengthening their sense of value and belonging. This role is essentially the heart and soul of our diverse community – caring, in tune to people’s needs and exceedingly proactive and taking initiative. The Community Manager creates an all-around amazing experience for neighbors.

Exciting opportunity with a multifamily company (property has almost 400 units) located in Stone Mountain. This is a unique opportunity in that we're NOT looking for a real estate background as this position is more about planning events, building rapport, and getting connected with tenants. We're looking for someone who is outgoing and extroverted who is experienced in planning and carrying out events. You'll be responsible for talking with tenants at the property to uncover what appeals to them - what they'd like to see and plan accordingly. We need a real people-person who likes to be connected, is self-motivated and works independently. Others on the property include a full-time Manager and an Assistant Property Manager plus maintenance although this position works fairly autonomously. An event planning/HR type background helpful, but an outgoing personality is most important!

Qualified candidate must have the ability to effectively connect with neighbors, enjoy planning events and creating an inclusive environment that fosters collaboration and creativity. Above all a “people person” with strong communication skills, excellent customer service skills and a passion for social and professional networking.

You’ll be responsible for spearheading, managing, and producing event programming with a focus on developing relationships, creating successful ongoing traditions while driving neighbor participation.
