Industrial real estate investment and development firm located in the Cumberland/Galleria area is looking to grow its staff and hire a Real Estate Accountant.  As the sole accounting employee, you'll perform all day-to-day general accounting functions.  This is a hybrid role where once acclimated you'll be able to work from home at least 50% of the time.  Great boss, really nice coworkers, and a very supportive work environment. An excellent opportunity to anchor the accounting department as the company continues to grow and expand. 

Responsibilities...

 Handle all accounts payable and receivable 
Assist in cash reconciliations for multiple bank accounts
Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues
Assist in cash management, general ledgers, and bank accounts
Enter financial data into computer software, making sure all bills and invoices are filed correctly
Complete Month-end procedures - reconcile bank & credit card accounts, verify income vs expenses in transaction software, complete journal entries, and prepare monthly financials for review
Follow up with vendors for accounts payable and keep in touch as needed for collections ensuring bills are paid on time
Perform other general accounting related duties and responsibilities as needed
Candidates must...

Be extremely organized
Be numbers and detail-oriented
Accomplish tasks and goals with a strong sense of urgency
Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks, MS Excel, Outlook, and Word
Qualifications/Skills...

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
At least seven (7) years of commercial/industrial real estate bookkeeping/accounting experience
Understanding and knowledge of GAAP general accounting principles
Positive can-do attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multitask and prioritize
Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Company offers a salary in the $85 - $95,000 range plus 10% bonus potential, allowance for healthcare, vacations, holidays, etc.
