Privately held commercial real estate investment, development and management company founded in the early 90s seeks to hire an experienced Building Operating Engineer responsible for the preventative maintenance and work order repairs at three metro Atlanta sites situated in Buckhead, Midtown, and Cumberland area.  The company owns over 10 million square feet of high-quality Class "A" properties in 6 different markets. Reporting to the Sr. Building Engineer you will be based in a truly unique trophy office building totaling 400,000+ square feet located at the north end of Buckhead's office district. Other sites include a mixed-use property comprised of a high-rise office tower, a high-rise residential tower, a mid-rise hotel, and 30,000+ retail in Midtown.  The remaining property is a mid-rise office property in Cumberland with roughly 250,000 square feet. 

The ideal candidate will have experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, access control, DDC systems, and various fire life safety systems.  

Responsibilities...

Performs all necessary operational activities and ensures reliability of all mechanical systems at the assigned properties.
Conducts operational tasks as needed on HVAC which could include DDC and pneumatics, plumbing, electrical, locksmith, access control, and fire life safety systems.
General building maintenance including repairs to doors, ceilings, roofs, floors, and miscellaneous areas.
Responsive in emergency situations.
Maintains and updates departmental records in accordance with guidelines established by the supervisor.
Provides excellent customer service to all building customers.  Addresses customer requests promptly and maintains good working relationships.
Develops and increases technical skills related to position by attending ongoing training sessions.
Other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions...

Ability to be flexible when needed at other properties to provide coverage, and participating in the on-call rotation.
Ability to handle multiple priorities under rapidly changing circumstances and goals.
Ability to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to lift and/or move 50 to 100 pounds.
Ability to manage stressful situations with incomplete information and resources with consistent attendance and punctuality for in-office work.
Ability to work overtime, as needed.
Ability to consistently, frequently, and effectively collaborate with individuals and groups in-person, over the phone, or through electronic media.
Qualifications/Requirements...

5 - 7 years of related experience
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude required.
High school diploma or GED required, some college preferred.
Appropriate city licenses, SMA or SMT preferred.
Must have general computer skills and be familiar with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Must have a reliable form of transportation to travel to the different work locations in the surrounding area.
Must be available to work overtime as needed.
Ability to work well with others and consistently display a positive attitude.
Must be able to pass background screenings to include Criminal, Drug, and MVR (driving).

Company offers a salary in the $65 - $70K range plus benefits.  Senior level (depending on designations, licenses, education, etc.) can earn up to $75K starting.
