About the Job
This well established and prestigious commercial general contractor weeks to hire a Director of Business Development with at least 10 years' successful experience in an industrial/commercial/manufacturing construction sales capacity. This is a key role reporting to company leadership. The compensation package has a base salary in the range of $120,000 with an unlimited bonus potential, creating a highly compensated position pus excellent benefits. Please note, this company is currently located near Stone Mountain, but will be moving by the end of February 2016 to the Clairmont Road/I-85 area.
The Director of Business Development will be responsible for increasing the company's market position and financial growth while adhering to the company's Vision, Mission and Values.
Present self as 'face of the Company' in the marketplace and expert on services that the Company provides.
Prospect for new clients, identify opportunities and decision makers within prospect organization.
Maintain relationships with legacy clients for new opportunities.
Research and build relationships with new prospects.
Develop relevant Requests for Qualifications and Requests for Proposals while organizing and leading the submissions of both as the Company point person.
Develop content of relevant presentations (verbal, hard copy, and electronic) for use with prospects.
Adhere to Company vetting process in determining 'GO/NO GO' with prospects.
Organize meetings between key Company personnel, Company owner, self, and prospects to move the business forward.
Attend industry events and conferences to build market knowledge and for networking with prospects.
Stay abreast of market conditions through news media, industry publications, networking and take appropriate action when an opportunity is present.
Network with Real Estate Brokers, Developers, Economic Development entities, Subcontractor, Architectural and Engineering Firms, and Legacy Clients.
Maintain database of prospects and opportunities in chosen CRM.
Meet monthly with Company leadership to share market information.
Participate in internal weekly business development meetings and providing updates.
Minimum 10 years' successful experience in an industrial/commercial/manufacturing construction sales capacity.
Minimum of Bachelor's Degree.
Possess extensive knowledge of the Southeast USA industrial/commercial/manufacturing construction market.
Possess strong relationships with the broker and developer communities in Southeast US.
Exceptional and precise presentation skills.
Excellent prospecting and networking skills.
Professional, passionate, and persuasive demeanor with the ability to close the sale.
Microsoft Office proficient.
Salary in the $120,000 range with an unlimited bonus potential and excellent benefits.
