Medical Receptionist 

Small private internal medicine practice in Johns Creek near Emory Johns Creek Hospital seeks to hire an experienced Medical Receptionist for their front office. You will be responsible for attending to patients on the phone and in person while coordinating and organizing appointments and documentation to facilitate the smooth running of the office and supporting the delivery of quality patient care. Ability to shift priorities and wear several hats!  You won't find a nicer doctor to work with and for, a really nice and compassionate group!


Greeting patients, answering incoming calls, dealing with inquiries, and transferring calls as required
Scheduling patient appointments - experience with Avisena Scheduling software a real plus
Registering patients according to established protocols
Assisting patients in completing all necessary forms and documentation including medical insurance
Ensuring patient information is accurate including billing information
Informing patients of medical office procedures and policy
Maintaining and managing patient records
Moving patients through appointments as scheduled
Collecting co-pays and payments
Reporting statistics as required
Scheduling hospital admissions, tests, scans, and outside appointments for patients
Obtaining external medical reports as required
Responding and complying to requests for information
Dealing with incoming and outgoing post
Completing other clerical duties as assigned
Maintaining stock of forms and office supplies
Ensuring reception area is well maintained, neat and clean
Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality

2+ years of experience in a medical environment, preferably a physician's office
Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnosis
Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications
Knowledge of general administrative and clerical procedures
Working knowledge of healthcare insurance is most helpful

Salary is $17/hourly, paid weekly. You will be paid for time off including holidays, vacations, sick days, and in-house medical treatment available. Hours are Monday - Thursday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm and Fridays 8:00 am - 1:30 pm.
