Lead the Operations of One of Atlanta’s Most Prestigious Private Clubs

We're seeking an experienced and motivated Facilities Director to lead facilities management, building maintenance, HVAC systems oversight, preventive maintenance programs, and capital improvement projects for clubhouse operations.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a facilities professional who takes pride in maintaining exceptional environments and delivering outstanding service. The Facilities Director plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, beauty, and functionality of the club’s facilities, while leading a skilled team and supporting strategic capital improvement projects.

You will work closely with the General Manager and executive leadership team to ensure the club’s facilities meet the high expectations of their members and guests.

This position oversees all club facilities excluding golf course and tennis operations.

Position Summary

The Facilities Director manages a comprehensive facilities maintenance program to ensure all club buildings and infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and at the highest quality standards. This includes oversight of building systems, housekeeping, laundry operations, preventive maintenance programs, renovations, security systems, and capital projects. The role combines hands-on operational leadership, strategic planning, team development, and project management.

Key Responsibilities

Facilities Leadership

  • Direct day-to-day operations of the facilities, housekeeping, and laundry departments

  • Supervise Housekeeping Manager, Laundry Supervisor, Facilities Technicians, and Painters

  • Manage service calls, maintenance requests, and repair operations

  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure facilities meet the club’s high standards

Capital Projects & Planning

  • Develop and manage annual maintenance, energy, and capital budgets

  • Maintain a five-year maintenance and capital improvement plan

  • Coordinate renovations, facility upgrades, and infrastructure improvements

  • Work with contractors, vendors, and consultants on construction and repair projects

Building Systems & Infrastructure

  • Oversee maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and building systems

  • Administer preventive maintenance and energy management programs

  • Support A/V, telecommunications, internet, cable, and music systems

  • Partner with leadership to enhance security and life safety systems

Team Leadership 

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop facilities staff

  • Manage scheduling, performance expectations, and professional growth

  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and service excellence

 Required Qualifications

  •  Associate degree or higher in Engineering, Mechanical Systems, HVAC, Architectural Engineering, or related field

  • 10+ years of progressive facilities or maintenance leadership experience

  • 5+ years supervising facilities or engineering teams

  • Experience with capital planning, preventive maintenance programs, and facility operations

  • Strong customer service mindset and leadership skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and facilities management systems

Preferred Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Engineering, or related field

  • Professional experience in civil engineering or commercial construction projects

 Certifications

  •  HVAC Certification

  • EPA Certification

  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO)

Salary in the $175,000 - $205,000 range commensurate with experience plus a strong benefits package.
